Former Kusuo Yasuda Residence and Gardens
The Former Kusuo Yasuda Residence and Gardens is located in Sendagi, a district that was once a prestigious residential area home to many scholars, business leaders, and cultural figures. Following the Great Kanto Earthquake, the estate was purchased from the Fujita family by Zenshiro Yasuda—the son-in-law of Zenjiro Yasuda, founder of the former Yasuda Zaibatsu. In 1995, after the passing of the head of the household, Kusuo Yasuda, his widow donated the property to the Japan National Trust (JNT), which has preserved it to the present day.
